First Baby Gifts

Kaniz keeps telling me that our baby blog doesn't have enough pictures, so we decided to take a few pictures in the unfurnished nursery. So here's a photo of yours truly before heading out to do some +1 shopping - the 'after' photo doesn't look as good. :)

The picture at the top is of the baby gifts we've gotten so far. We got a really nice package from Aunty Pratiksha and Uncle Rahul, and a fun ducky (named Danny) from Aunty Livia and Uncle Mike. Thanks everybody!

Ok, so I feel like I'm cheating a little bit here by posting six months worth of pictures at once, but this is the only way I have a remote chance of catching up. As you can see from the pictures, the Rizvi family definitely had a busy few months.. between birthdays, engagement parties, anniversaries, and family outings, we kept a full social calendar. Also, as you can tell from the picture above, Samarah and Syra are really starting to play well together. Ok, maybe 'well' isn't the right word, but they do have their moments. Syra definitely has a more forceful personality, which effectively neutralizes the size advantage Samarah has. I'm sure the fighting will only escalate as they get older. Stay tuned. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures from Jan-June, 2011!

Well, another year, another Rizvi baby. Now that we are about to welcome baby #3, it's time to retire this blog and start a new one. Lollipop, lollipop, oh lolli lolli....

Ok, so I hope you've come back after Abbas' corny post, although I have to admit, the graphic of the software box with him on it, is pretty darn good! Must be why I love him so. So, we bought our crib! We had our hearts set on the BabyMod Parklane from Walmart.com (only) in the States, which is very modern looking, the right price for us and got good reviews on Apartment Therapy. (The other option I had listed previously was the StorkCraft Ariel , also from Walmart - a little more traditional looking but we had decided against it.) I still think both of these options are great though, especially if you live in the US. Anyhow, on the spur of the moment, we decided to stop at Nestings , a very cute store on Yonge to check out their showroom. We walk in and I see "Winter Sale 20% off" on practically everything! We spotted the AP Lollipop Crib in Weathered Black, off in the corner and we both really liked it. It seemed to combine both the modern look and the traditional ...
