Busy, busy, busy week!

Boy, it's been a busy week for Kaniz and I, so the +1 blog didn't get any love (much to the dismay of our regular readers, I'm sure).. but now that it's the weekend, we'll make sure everyone gets caught up.

First of all, people started buying gifts for the +1 off of our Babies R Us (BrU) registry, and unlike other store registries where the gift recipient can choose to pick up purchased items from a local store, BrU's registry is a little retarded (as are most of their store staff, but that's another story). If you buy an item off a BrU registry online, you have to pay for shipping.. and if you buy an item in-store, you have to handle the delivery yourself. Anyway, I digress...

Here's a picture of few of the items we've received so far (change pad not shown) - +1 thanks all the aunties (Namgyal, Maria, Mashad & Iris), uncles (Jeff, Ted, Hasnain & Eli) and grandma Rizvi!

Second, Kaniz and I used our store credit at Moms To Be and bought an awesome bassinet! We had originally considered the Monte ninna-nanna bassinet, but when we finally saw one in person (at Ella & Elliott's), we didn't really like it. Instead, we opted for a Bebe Confort moses basket with a Jolly Jumper bassinet stand. I'm a little biased, but I think it looks fantastic - the picture above doesn't lie!

We also did some other 'nesting' activities around the house, including painting the guest/play room and the second floor hallway.. so +1's floor is looking pretty darn good.

Finally, we went over and visited another +1 Crew member. Safiyya looks like she's gonna be a fun playmate! I wonder what her calendar looks like for July...


Oh, did I mention that we also hosted a mini-Superbowl party at the beginning of the week? Baby Jessica brought her own crew to cheer on the Giants (I and +1 were rooting for Tom Brady and the Patriots - guess you can't win 'em all).
